Hace 1 día · Indeed, 2 months after the loss at Camden, Major General Gates was replaced by Major General Nathanael Greene, who accepted the command of the Southern Army. Greene went on to play a critical role in the Carolinas, directing operations that eventually led to the American victory. (Note from Kate: more on this in a future newsletter!)
Just wild to me that Missouri State had multiple offers in the past, but chose to wait until after the FBS move-up fee moved from $5,000 to $5 million.. Missouri State's TV rights with C-USA will only pay out at $750K a year, which means they won't even make their initial investment back on that by the time the deal runs out in 2030.
Hace 6 días · Maj. Gen. Nathanael Greene had led a hurried evacuation of the fort's 2,000-man garrison and marched them toward Hackensack, where Washington was waiting on them. By deciding to leave everything else at the fort, Greene was able to march his men to safety before the British could seize the one bridge across the Hackensack River.
