New Suit of Clothes Review by Richard Meyer. This collection has more bluesy-based ballads than Jerling's previous CD. The playing, including guest appearances by John Sebastian and Peter Ostroushko, is clean and unobtrusive allowing Jerling's warm baritone to serve his sophisticated lyrics well.
Sebastian and Roth are joined on the recording by bassist Ira Coleman and drummer Eric Parker, with John’s son Benson Sebastian supplying percussion. Sebastian—who wrote and sang all of the band’s hits from its inception in 1965 until he left in the spring of ’68—and Roth have known each other for some 35 years and their interaction on these classic songs is natural and inspired.

John Benson Sebastian (born March 17, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter and musician who founded the rock band the Lovin' Spoonful. He made an impromptu appearance at the Woodstock festival in 1969 [1] and scored a U.S. No. 1 hit in 1976 with " Welcome Back ."
