8 de abr. de 2017 · Sir James Barrie, around 1895. While we all love the story of Peter Pan, not many of us know what inspired Barrie to create this classic story. The author credited five boys with inspiring the tale: George, John (Jack), Peter, Michael, and Nicholas (Nico) Llewelyn Davies.
The Davies boys were the inspiration for the stories of Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, in which several of the characters were named after them. They were the sons of Sylvia (1866–1910) and Arthur Llewelyn Davies (1863–1907).

29 de oct. de 2012 · Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, who in an odd gesture to the gothic happened to be Daphne du Maurier’s aunt, did die, just as in the movie, of lung cancer. But she died in 1910, five years after the first staging of Peter Pan, not just as it came out. Already the play had integrated itself into upper-middle-class British society as a Christmas tradition.
Finding Neverland, a musical adaptation of the film based on the Llewelyn Davies boys' early lives, opens on Broadway in 2015 with Matthew Morrison starring as J.M. Barrie.
