24 de nov. de 2016 · Nigel Kennedy enregistre les 4 Saisons de Vivaldi, parce qu’il « s’est rendu compte que l’oeuvre avait la même structure qu’un album de rock : 12 morceaux de quelques minutes chacun. » Avec plus d’un million d’exemplaires vendus en mois d’un an, et 4 millions sur 15 ans, Nigel Kennedy entre dans les records du Guinness !
Nigel Kennedy étudie ensuite avec Dorothy DeLay à la Julliard School de New York. Il s'immisce alors dans le milieu du jazz new-yorkais, et sera d'ailleurs invité par le grand violoniste Stéphane Grappelli sur la scène du Carnegie Hall à New York, à l'âge de seize ans.

Violinist Nigel Kennedy’s unique talent and improvisational technique has done much to popularise classical music, particularly among young people. Brighton-born Nigel Kennedy was a pupil at the Yehudi Menuhin School, tutored by the legendary Menuhin himself, and later at the Juilliard School under Dorothy DeLay.
