Nikolai Alexandrovich Kulikovsky (5 November 1881 – 11 August 1958) was the second husband of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia, the sister of Tsar Nicholas II and daughter of Tsar Alexander III. He was born into a military landowning family from the south of the Russian Empire, and followed the family tradition by entering the army.
Kulikovsky was neither. As a result, we have received questions from our readers about the Kulikovsky family, who they are, and how they are related to the Imperial House. Today’s extended Kulikovsky family descends from Lieutenant Colonel Nikolai Kulikovsky, an officer of the Russian Imperial Army.
16 de oct. de 2017 · Nikolai Kulikovsky died at home in 1958, at the age of 76. “I was in a way relieved to see him go and escape from his suffering,” Olga said. Now alone, the Grand Duchess filled her days painting and tending a small vegetable patch in the yard. Her children and grandchildren visited often.

13 de jun. de 2023 · Colonel Nikolai Kulikovsky, age 22, was a close friend of Michael’s and she persuaded her brother to seat her next to Nikolai during lunch, which he did. Before the meal was over Olga was in love. Soon after, Olga wanted to divorce Peter and marry Nikolai, but neither her husband, Peter, or her brother, Nicholas II would permit it.
The following month Olga married cavalry officer Nikolai Kulikovsky, with whom she had fallen in love several years before. During the First World War, Olga served as an army nurse and was awarded a medal for personal gallantry.
