Hace 1 día · When I read Pevsner’s entry on Lamport Hall, which said the stables had been built in 1907, I wondered how the financially embarrassed Ishams had managed this. The answer was that they had not: Lord Ludlow, one of their tenants, was a wealthy barrister. He had no qualms about spending his money on Lamport, and spend he did.
