  5. Travel to North Country School. From New York and New Jersey, through Albany: North Country School is two hours north of Albany. From Albany, take I-87 north to Exit 30 (Route 73, Keene Valley, Keene). At the end of the exit ramp turn left, taking Routes 9 and 73 west toward Keene and Lake Placid. In 2 miles, bear left to stay on Route 73.
