20 de jun. de 2014 · Rick Danko, as a writer, vocalist and bass player truly defined the sound of the band. First and foremost, Danko is an accompanist, providing structure to the song, taking a less-is-more approach to ballads, and knowing how to let the sum be greater than the parts.
Though Danko waxed several concert and collaborative platters, his true signature solo outing was his eponymous 1977 gem, which was overlooked during the punk era zeitgeist. Though weary from his tenure in The Band, Danko was still a force to be reckoned with.
