Paul Gauguin. Biografía y Obra. A Gauguin (1848-1903) lo encontramos dentro de los pintores franceses post-impresionistas junto con Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec y Cézanne. Nació en parís, a los tres años sus padres emigran a Perú y durante el viaje muere su padre. Allí vivió junto a su madre cuatro años hasta que deciden regresar a Francia.

Alongside Paul Gauguin, Émile Bernard was the inventor of Synthetism, which he first tried in his painting Bretonnes dans la Prairie Verte (Breton Women in the Green Meadow). This is kept at the Musée d'Orsay and is dated 1888.
