A Taste of Honey is an American recording act, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1972 by associates Janice-Marie Johnson and Perry Kibble. In 1978, they had one of the best known chart-toppers of the disco era, "Boogie Oogie Oogie".

Perry Lee Kibble was born June 10, 1949, in Watts, Los Angeles, California the fourth son of Ike and Clara Belle Kibble. Perry began his life as a musician at age sixteen, playing sax, drums and bass guitar, in addition to writing, and arranging music for various named acts across the United States.
