Peter William Ford (born 27 June 1947) is an English Diplomat who served as the British Ambassador to Bahrain from 1999 to 2003 and to Syria from 2003 to 2006. In 2023, Ford became a Deputy Leader of the Workers Party of Britain .
Ambassador Peter Ford is an Arabist with long established expertise in the Middle East. Educated at the University of Oxford, he worked in London for the FCO and also served in Beirut, Cairo, Riyadh, Singapore and Paris.
