Phillips Academy was founded on the idea that an Andover education should be—must be—open and accessible to “youth of requisite qualifications from every quarter.” True to our constitution, we’re one of the few independent schools in the country to admit students regardless of financial need; the official term for this is “need-blind admission.”
Phillips Academy is a co-educational college-preparatory school for boarding and day students located in Andover, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. The academy enrolls approximately 1,150 students in grades 9 through 12, including postgraduate students.
