Prince Georg Friedrich of Waldeck (31 January 1620 – 19 November 1692) was a German and Dutch Field Marshal and, for the last three years of his life, Grand Master of the Order of Saint John (Bailiwick of Brandenburg).

Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (Friedrich Adolf Hermann Fürst zu Waldeck und Pyrmont; 20 January 1865 – 26 May 1946) was the last reigning Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont from 12 May 1893 to 13 November 1918.

Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont. The principality was divided 1805, Pyrmont was given to George, and his brother Friedrich Karl August stayed with Waldeck. In 1807, Waldeck joined the Confederation of the Rhine . After the death of his brother in 1812, George took over the government in Waldeck.
He then studied law at the University of Leipzig. On September 24, 1812, after the death of his unmarried and childless elder brother Friedrich Karl August, Prince of Waldeck-Pyrmont, Georg’s father succeeded him as Georg I, Prince of Waldeck-Pyrmont.
