Eberbach Abbey (German: Kloster Eberbach) is a former Cistercian monastery in Eltville in the Rheingau, Germany. On account of its Romanesque and early Gothic buildings it is considered one of the most significant architectural heritage sites in Hesse.

Eberbach, Cistercian Abbey of the Virgin Mary. The abbey of Eberbach, lying only a few miles north-west of the cathedral city of Mainz, was originally established as a house of Augustinian canons, but was re-founded in the 1130s by monks from the Cistercian house at Clairvaux.
Kloster Eberbach has always been a place of retreat and reflection. The abbey represents medieval architecture like no other place in Hessen and reflects 900 years of society and culture with its unique history. We have made it our mission to carry on this unique heritage and preserve it for future generations.
