Clayton S. Rose is an American academic administrator who served as the 15th president of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine . Early life and education. Originally from San Rafael, California, [2] Rose graduated from the University of Chicago as an undergraduate in 1980 and with a Master of Business Administration in 1981.

Prior to Bowdoin, beginning in 2007, he was a member of the HBS faculty, teaching and writing on issues of leadership, ethics, the Global Financial Crisis, and the role of business in society.
