Yle - The Finnish Broadcasting Company, (pronounced /yle/) or Yleisradio (in Finnish) and Rundradion (in Swedish) is Finland's national public service media company. Founded in 1926, it is a public limited company majority owned by the Finnish state, employing around 2,800 people. Yle is funded by a special Yle tax.

PBS wurde am 11. November 1975 unter dem Namen Xandir Malta gegründet und trat noch im selben Jahr der Europäischen Rundfunkunion (EBU) bei. Damals war man neben der Maltese Broadcasting Authority (MBA) das zweite maltesische Mitglied. Heute ist PBS alleiniger Vertreter Maltas bei der EBU.
