Sir Raghunath Purushottam Paranjpye (16 February 1876 – 6 May 1966) also known as Wrangler Paranjpye was an Indian mathematician and diplomat who served as the 1st High Commissioner of India to Australia from 1945 to 1947.

17 de may. de 2018 · In 1899, he was honored by the British government as the first Indian Wrangler. After returning from England in 1902, he was offered the post of a Principal at Fergusson College. In 1913 he was appointed as the member of Mumbai’s Legal Association. In 1914 he won the Municipal elections.
A new book by Dr Jitu Shah, a Visting Fellow in the School of Physics, examines the life and work of Sir Raghunath Purushottam Paranjpe (1876-1966), the first Indian to achieve the coveted title of Senior Wrangler at the University of Cambridge.
