Ray Erskine Parker Jr., nacido el 1 de mayo de 1954, en la ciudad de Michigan, Detroit. Es un compositor y músico (guitarrista) estadounidense de R&B. En un principio, fue un aprendiz del cantante Barry White, e incluso, apareció brevemente tocando su guitarra, en una película filmada en 1974, Uptown Saturday Night.
Ray Parker Jr. is best known for his Grammy-winning theme song to 1984’s Ghostbusters. But the singer, musician, and producer has a long history of working with some of the greatest soul artists of all time, including Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye.
