Red Skelton (Vincennes, 18 de julho de 1913 — Rancho Mirage, 17 de setembro de 1997) foi um comediante estadunidense de rádio, cinema e tv. Começou sua carreira na adolescência como palhaço de circo e depois atuando em vaudeville , na Broadway , em filmes, rádio, TV, night clubs e cassinos , ao mesmo tempo em que desenvolvia outra carreira como pintor.
10 de feb. de 2012 · Red Skelton went on to make over 40 movies for MGM during the 1940’s and 1950’s. In 1945, he married again, to Georgia Davis. This marriage lasted for 28 years, and resulted in the births of his son Richie and his daughter Valentina. Richie, unfortunately, died of leukemia in childhood, a blow that devastated the family.

And it seems like from the very beginning, he suffered from an identity crisis. When one of his teachers called him a liar for saying that his name was “Red," he made up the name Bernard instead.
