Hace 2 días · Burbank, Calif., May 14, 2024 – Celebrating the 40 th anniversary of its theatrical release, Purple Rain, the iconic 1984 film starring Prince in his film acting debut, will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD Disc and Digital for the first time on June 25.
On this day in 1987 #Prince released the 12” maxi-single “If I Was Your Girlfriend”. It contained the b-side “Shockadelica”. The song was written after Prince learned Jesse Johnson didn’t have a title track for his album of the same name. So Prince wrote one.
