Richard Burbage leased it to an acting company called the Children of the Chapel, but, after they could not make the payments, Burbage bought back the lease with his brother and four new partners from the King's Men - Shakespeare, Henry Condell, William Sly, and John Heminge. Richard Burbage was also a wonderful painter.
Little is known about some of the individuals named as actors in the First Folio—such as Samuel Crosse—but others are better documented; none more so than the man whose name appears immediately after Shakespeare’s and to whom Shakespeare left money to buy a mourning ring in his will, along with Heminges and Condell—Richard Burbage (1568-1619).

20 de feb. de 2013 · Before 1599 Burbage had been just one in an acting company of eight equals and his roles in Shakespeare’s plays were commensurate with that stake. But the building of the Globe in 1599 made Richard newly preeminent. He and his brother Cuthbert secured 50% of the venture, with Shakespeare and the four other ‘housekeepers’ having just 10% each.
