    Rik Kenton left the band in January 1973 and was replaced by John Porter. Roxy Music's second album, For Your Pleasure, was released in March 1973. It marked the beginning of the band's long, successful collaboration with producer Chris Thomas, who worked on all of the group's classic albums and singles in the 1970s.

  2. Rik Kenton. Profile: British musician who is largely known as a bassist, but is also a guitarist, keyboard player, programmer of Linn drums, producer, and songwriter. After the disbanding of Woody Kern, he had a stint in Roxy Music. However, this only lasted a few months as he was hired in the June of 1972, and fired in December of the same year.

  3. The band was founded by Rik Kenton (b. 31 October 1945, in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England) Glynnis (voc) Ned Morant (perc.) Carol Isaacs (keyboards/background vocals) and Andrew Edge (drums). They were a mixed-race group of musicians who used traditional pop styles as well as reggae, Caribbean dance rhythms and African rhythms .
