Robert Adam. Robert Adam (July 3, 1728 – March 3, 1792) was a Scottish neoclassical architect, interior designer, and furniture designer. He is famous for his light, elegant, and airy style and the list of his buildings includes some well-known landmarks, such as the Scottish National Archives and Portland Place, London.

Robert Adam ( 3. července 1728, Kirkcaldy – 3. března 1792, Londýn) byl skotský architekt. Jeho otec byl stavitel William Adam. Vytvořil tzv. Robert Adam (1728-1792) was born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, the second son of the architect William Adam (1689-1748). To complete his education he spent two years studying in Rome. From his observations of Roman design, Adam learned to blend the architecture of the ancient world with his own inspirations.
