  3. Eduardo el Viejo nota 1 (en anglosajón: Ēadweard cyning; en francés: Edouard le Vieux) (n. 874-877-17 de julio de 924) fue rey de Wessex desde 899 hasta su muerte en 924. Fue el segundo de los hijos varones —seis en total— de Alfredo el Grande, rey de Wessex, y de su esposa Ethelswitha.
