Hace 4 días · Robert Picardo, who played Voyager ' s holographic Doctor, was asked to appear as Enterprise ' s Emergency Medical Hologram after suggesting to producers that the two vessels should share similar technology. Picardo's line "I'm a doctor, not a door stop", is an allusion to the Star Trek original series character Dr. Leonard McCoy.

He was great. Didn't think much of him at first but he really grew on me. Ended up being my favorite of Atlantis' revolving door of expedition leaders. I really wish he'd replaced Weir immediately in S4 instead of wasting Carter in a role that didn't fit her. Robert Picardo deserved a longer run.

The man behind Azog the Defiler, Manu Bennett, has carved out quite the career in Hollywood since becoming the Pale Orc. My vote is for the episode “The Storm” from the show “The Dead Zone”, which besides Picardo includes Nicole de Boer (“Ezri Dax” from Deep Space Nine), and was created by Michael Piller, who made vast writing contributions to Star Trek.

Vorik's introduction added depth to Voyager's crew and impacted major storylines like Tom and B'Elanna's relationship.
