Robert Alphonso Taft Jr. (February 26, 1917 – December 7, 1993) was an American politician. He was a member of the Taft family who served as a Republican Congressman from Ohio between 1963 and 1965, as well as between 1967 and 1971. Taft also served as a U.S. Senator between 1971 and 1976.

Taft, Robert, Jr. (b. 26 February 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio; d. 7 December 1993 in Cincinnati, Ohio), U.S. representative and senator from Ohio, known for his staunch advocacy of conservative policies during the John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard M. Nixon, and Gerald Ford administrations.
Robert Taft was a junior at Yale University when his father achieved the White House in 1909. Not having to struggle financially, Taft attended the best of schools. He attended school in Cincinnati and Taft school (operated by the family) in Watertown, Connecticut.
