Sin embargo, Roomful of Blues definitivamente nunca quiso ganar ningún premio por originalidad. En su propuesta inicial, el contenido sólo contaba con «Duke’s Blues», de Duke Robillard, como única pieza no escrita antes de 1960.

Duke is an encyclopaedia of guitar styles, from his grasp of T-Bone Walker’s approach to his command of swinging blues and even to straight-ahead jazz, having recorded with the great Scott Hamilton.
