sinopsis. Venecia, siglo XVIII. Cornelia, joven noble, se queda embarazada de un desconocido durante la celebración de los Carnavales. Para evitar el escándalo, sus padres la recluyen en una villa en la campiña, donde permanecerá hasta el nacimiento del bebé. Allí contará con la compañía de una joven criada, también embarazada y soltera.
