Since 1903, Roundhay School has sat proudly at the heart of its community, growing into one of the country’s largest, most diverse and oversubscribed schools. We are an All-Through School serving children and young people aged 4 to 18. Our core ambition is to do “whatever it takes” to provide an exceptional education for all.
We are absolutely delighted to be able to inform you of the very successful outcome to our recent Ofsted Inspection (28 and 29 November 2023). Ofsted has judged Roundhay School & Sixth Form to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, and they could not have been more complimentary about the exceptional provision on offer across our through-school.

We are determined to make sure every pupil learns to read and keeps reading at Roundhay. Each building block provides strong foundations to ensure our children become skilled readers who read for information and pleasure. Primary Campus. (Ages 4 – 11) Secondary Campus. (Ages 11 – 16) Sixth Form. (Ages 16 – 18)
