Ruzi Nazar ( Uzbek: Roʻzi Nazar; 1 January 1917 – 30 April 2015) was an Uzbek nationalist who spent most of his adult career working for the CIA against the Soviet Union. [1] . He was born in Soviet Central Asia at the time of the Russian Revolution.

Early life and history. Nasar was born in Rosenheim, Germany, to a Bavarian mother and an Uzbek father, Rusi Nasar, who later joined the CIA as an intelligence officer. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1951, then moved to Ankara, Turkey, in 1960.
