Samuel Palmer. Samuel Palmer ( Londra, 25 gennaio 1805 – Redhill, 24 maggio 1881) è stato un pittore paesaggista, incisore e scrittore britannico . Figura chiave del romanticismo britannico, Palmer fu presentato nel 1824 a William Blake. L'incontro fu decisivo, perché gli permise di scoprire la propria natura, incline al visionario.

For Palmer’s interpretation of the ‘pastoral’ is not remotely conventional; rather, it is visionary and idealistic. As he wrote in 1871: “I was always imagining and trying to draw”.

Samuel Palmer (Londres, 27 de Janeiro de 1805 - Redhill, 24 de Maio de 1881) foi um pintor paisagístico inglês, que também utilizava técnicas de Água-forte e impressão. Ele também foi um escritor prolífico. Palmer foi uma figura chave no romantismo britânico e produziu pinturas visionárias pastorais.
