The film was proposed to Sergio Citti and as usual I was helping him to write the screenplay. As we went along, Citti began losing interest in the film while I was more and more in love with it, especially since I had the idea to set the film in '45, during the last days of the Republic of Salo.

In collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Cineteca Nazionale, will be presented the first complete retrospective dedicated to Sergio Citti, whose 90th birthday falls this year.
Plot summary. In the poor and infamous suburb of Ostia, two brothers live in a small run-down apartment. One day, they find a girl, who ran away from home to escape her father's sexual violences, and bond out of solidarity. When both brothers fall in love with her, they have several fights, at the end of which only one will survive.
