Christopher Andrew "Christy" Moore (Newbridge, Condado de Kildare; 7 de mayo de 1945), es un cantante, compositor y guitarrista de folk irlandés. It’s first of two songs written by accordionist Mairtín O’Connor, the second being ‘The Babbling Brook.’ Percussion is provided throughout by guitar or bodhrán, the latter from the hands of Christy Moore, who prefers to use his fingers rather than the palm or beater for a more subtle tone.
