He was a patrilineal descendant of Lord Burghley and the 1st Earl of Salisbury, chief ministers of Elizabeth I. The family owned vast rural estates in Hertfordshire and Dorset.

It is the first time it has been held on Anglesey. “Our islands contribute so much to the UK, and we value everything that’s distinct about them," Mr Gove said.
