William Murray Bremner (born 4 August 1946, in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland) is a Scottish guitarist, best known for his work in the band Rockpile and on many of Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds ' albums.

7 de nov. de 2018 · Often overlooked on his own merits, the best of Billy’s solo material has finally been compiled on the excellent SINGLED OUT collection courtesy of RPM/Cherry Red. While it doesn’t contain any recordings he sang on the Rockpile album, it features material he recorded both before and after his stint with that outfit.
“Singled Out” is the cream of the crop, the best singles sides most representing the Billy Bremner sound. The second focus is Bremner’s songwriting as all but three of the songs on this compilation are written or co-written by Bremner.
27 de nov. de 2018 · This past October, Billy Bremner released Singled Out, adding to the legend of Rockpile. Since one normally associates Lowe and Edmunds first and foremost with Rockpile, I’m sure there are a few folks who wonder whether a Bremner retrospective is warranted.
