  1. Sir Adrian William Maxwell Baillie, 6th Baronet DL (5 May 1898 – 8 January 1947) [1] was a British MP for two constituencies. Early life. Baillie was born on 5 May 1898. He was the second son of Sir Robert Alexander Baillie, 4th Baronet (1859–1947) and Isabel, Lady Baillie. [2] .

  2. In 1823, William Baillie was created a baronet, and extended the house. It remained in the Baillie family until the 1950s, although from the 1930s it was not occupied, after Sir Adrian Baillie, the 6th Baronet, moved his main residence to Leeds Castle in Kent.

Soon after returning to England, his father (Sir Adrian Baillie, 6th Baronet) died on 8 January 1947, and he succeeded to the family title, becoming 7th Baronet of Polkemmet, Linlithgowshire.
