Hace 4 días · Upon the death of his younger brother the Reverend Sir John Every, the seventh baronet, in 1779, the elder branch became extinct, and the title devolved to Mr. Edward Every, then of Derby, being the fourth in descent from Francis, third son of Sir Simon, the first baronet, which Francis was buried at Egginton in 1708; his son, Sir Henry, is the present baronet.

Hace 5 días · Upon the death of Charles, the third viscount without issue in 1739, the title of baronet devolved to Charles, elder son of Dr. William Graham, some time Dean of Carlisle, fourth son of Sir George, the second baronet; but it was not, we believe, for some years claimed, nor is any account of this family inserted in the baronetages of 1741 or 1773.

Sir Richard Grenville, elder son of Sir Beville, was created a baronet in 1630. The title became extinct by Sir Richard's death, which happened at Ghent, in Flanders, in 1658, his only son Richard having died before him.
In early September, 1547, Englishman Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset invaded Scotland. All of the Scottish clan chiefs and noblemen were called to Edinburgh. Robert Munro, 14th Baron of Foulis responded to the call and together with the fighting men of his clan he proceeded to Edinburgh and joined the Scottish army.
