Sir Edward Osborne, 1st Baronet, of Kiveton (bap. 12 December 1596 – 9 September 1647) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1628 and 1640.
Osborne's grandson, Sir Edward Osborne, of Kiveton, Yorkshire, created a baronet 13 July 1620, was the son of Sir Hewett Osborne, and father of Sir Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds. [citation needed] A half-length portrait of Osborne in armour is in the possession of the Duke of Leeds.
Osborne baronets. There have been three baronetcies created for persons with the surname Osborne, two in the baronetage of England and one in the baronetage of Ireland. Two creations are extant. The Osborne baronetcy, of Kiveton in the County of York, was created in the Baronetage of England on 13 July 1620. [1]
