15 de abr. de 2024 · Through SOLARIS, ESA is bringing together policymakers, energy suppliers and space companies to investigate the feasibility of developing and implementing space-based solar power. This is intended to enable Europe to make an informed decision by the end of 2025 on proceeding with a development programme dedicated to the technology.

Solaris is a high proper-motion star located in the constellation of Pegasus. It is not part of the Pegasus constellation outline but is within the borders of the constellation. Based on the spectral type (K5), Solaris colour is orange to red , these are stars that are cooler than our own star.
