Judith Veronica Mowatt, OD (born 1952) is a Jamaican reggae artist. As well as being a solo artist, from 1974 she was also a member of the I Threes, the trio of backing vocalists for Bob Marley & The Wailers. Early life. Mowatt was born in Gordon Town, St. Andrew Parish, Jamaica.

Judy Mowatt. Jamaican singer born Judith Veronica Mowatt on December 23, 1952 in Gordon Town, St Andrew, Jamaica. She founded The Gaylettes (aka the Gaytones) in 1967 and then had a solo career from arroun 1969/70 where she also recorded under the name The Unforgettables (6), Nairobi Sisters, Julie Anne, Julien and Jean.
8 de feb. de 2024 · The instant chemistry between the three ladies birthed a new trio, the I-Threes; Rita's connections got them into performing with her husband, Bob Marley . The I-Threes first sang backup for Marley and The Wailers on the single "Jah Live," then began touring with him in 1975, a gig they held until Marley's death in 1981.
