The Springfields, Tom, Dusty, and Mike, were voted Top British group in 1961 and 1962, and were the first British vocal group to have a Top 10 hit single in the USA in April 1962, 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles'. The Beatles may well have led the wave of the British invasion, but The Springfields got there first!
