Aurobindo Ghose, dit Sri Aurobindo, né le à Calcutta ( Raj britannique) et mort le 5 décembre 1950 à Pondichéry ( Inde française ), est un philosophe, poète et écrivain spiritualiste qui a développé une approche nouvelle du yoga. Il fut également un des leaders du mouvement pour l'indépendance de l'Inde 1 .
