about. Sunyata & Inner Landscapes contains archival remastered releases from my early career. Sunyata was my debut cassette release in 1982, and documents my most minimal approach, very slow motion trance music which coincided with my early sleep concerts.
During this time, he released four albums on cassette: Sunyata (1982), Trances (1983), Drones (1983), and his first live album titled Live (1984). He recorded the first album when he was 18 years old. The music on these albums reflects similar drone music atmospheres to those of his sleep concert series. [citation needed]
Rich released his first album Sunyata in 1982. Most of his subsequent recordings came out in Europe until 1989, when Rich began a string of critically acclaimed releases for Fathom/Hearts of Space, including Rainforest (1989), Gaudí (1991), Propagation (1994) and Seven Veils (1998).
Long out of print on the original cassette format, Sunyata is my first commercial release, from June 1982. It has since been re-released on several CD printings, and remains available in combination with the 1985 recording “Inner Landscapes.”
