15 de jul. de 2022 · Overview. Susan Fleming appeared in three Broadway shows and twenty-eight films before she turned her back on a show business career she never really enjoyed or wanted. The role of her lifetime came when she married Harpo Marx in 1936. Together, they raised four adopted children and enjoyed one of Hollywood's happiest and most successful unions.

She began her memoir in the early 1980s as part of a writing course, but abandoned it for years at a time, according to the book's Afterword written by her collaborator Robert Bader, author of Four of the Three Musketeers , an essential book about the Marx Brothers' career in vaudeville and on Broadway.
