Hace 4 días · 1999年に発表されたウディ・アレン監督作品『ギター弾きの恋』（原題：Sweet and Lowdown）。 舞台は1930年代ジャズ全盛期のシカゴ。 ショーン・ペン演じる裏社会や娼婦とも関係を持ち、自堕落的な生活を送っていた天才ジャズ・ギタリスト、エメレット・レイが、言葉がしゃべれない女性と出会い、いつしかその素朴さとやさしさに惹かれていき・・・。 一見するとこの映画は、実在のギタリストを描いたドキュメンタリー・ドラマのように感じられる。 そう思わせる最大の理由がこの主人公が「ジャンゴ・ラインハルトの演奏が世界一で、自分は2番目に天才」と自らを語るからだ。 決してジャンゴ本人を描いたわけではないが、どうしてもジャンゴ・ラインハルトと彼を重ねてみたくなってしまう。
