The Sweet Inspirations are an American R&B girl group mostly known for their work as backup singers on studio recordings for other R&B and rock artists. A founding member of the group was Dionne Warwick , who was later replaced by her aunt, Cissy Houston .

The Sweet Inspirations (Estelle, Myrna and Sylvia) got back together again in 1994, with new member Portia Griffin. They perform at Elvis Presley tribute shows and released new material in 2005. Sylvia suffered a stroke in 2001 that has kept her from performing with the group.
T.B. Sheets is a true story about watching a lover die of tuberculosis, 9 minutes and 44 seconds of anguish, regret, bargaining, pleading, mind numbing circling fragments, foreign bodies, death, with screeching harmonica and throbbing music as a back drop to a running dialogue.
