Robert Todd Lincoln murió mientras dormía en Hildene, su hogar en Vermont el 26 de julio de 1926. Tenía 82 años. His two youngest sons, William Wallace Lincoln, “Willie,” and Thomas Lincoln III, “Tad,” had fallen ill. But though the president did all he could to make them better, only Tad recovered. Willie Lincoln died. “My boy is gone!”.
