Alois Hitler (nacido Alois Schicklgruber; Strones, Municipio de Döllersheim, Bezirk Zwettl, Baja Austria; 7 de junio de 1837 - Leonding, cerca de Linz; 3 de enero de 1903) fue un funcionario de aduanas austríaco, conocido por ser el padre de Adolf Hitler.

Alois Hitler (born Alois Schicklgruber; [1] 7 June 1837 – 3 January 1903) was an Austrian civil servant in the customs service, and the father of Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945. Alois Schicklgruber was born out of wedlock. His mother was Maria Schicklgruber, but his biological father remains unknown.
Alois Schicklgruber (Adolf's father) changed his surname on 7 January 1877 to "Hitler" (derived from that of his deceased stepfather, Johann Georg Hiedler ), which was the only form of the last name that his son Adolf used. [2] . Before Adolf Hitler's birth, his family used many variations of the family surname "Hitler" almost interchangeably.
