Although Lincoln did do hard labor on account of being raised on the frontier, his actual career was built on being a lawyer who defended the interests of railroads. I wouldn’t really call that “blue-collar.”. He probably fits in this category better than like 70% of presidents, but not “near the top.”. Reply reply.
