The Daydreamer is a 1966 live-action/stop-motion hybrid film released by Rankin/Bass Productions (VideoCraft International). Set in 1800, the film centers around a young Hans Christian Andersen (Paul O'Keefe) known simply as "Chris" who is the son of a poor shoemaker (Jack Gilford).
